Perfect Work at Home Jobs for Moms

Are you a stay-at-home mom looking for a way to work from home?

Contrary to what many will have you believe, you don’t have to join an MLM and spend countless hours bugging your friends and family on social media in order to try and make money from home. And really, who wants to do that anyway, especially if you hate selling?

Plus, these types of jobs don’t pay an hourly salary. You’re only paid a commission on sales.

There are many ways to work from home with kids; sometimes, it just takes being a little creative. Whether you have toddlers at home or school-age children, there are several ways to work at home with kids.

You’ll need to have someone who can watch babies or toddlers for any type of telephone job. You don’t necessarily need to take them to daycare, as long as there is another adult in your home that can watch them while you’re working.

If there isn’t another adult living in your home, then think about a family member or friend that you could hire to come over and watch them. Or another alternative is hiring a high school student that could come to your home and babysit during your work shift.

If you have a toddler and none of these is an option, then think about working while your kids sleep. I’ve come across many moms who work at night while their kids are sleeping, and they all claim it works very well for them.

Often older kids can be taught that they need to respect your boundaries and stay quiet while you work.

If your kids are older and understand, or can be taught that they can’t disturb you while you’re working, then there are more options for you to work at home.

Make sure to have plenty of activities for them so they can entertain themselves while you’re busy with your job.

Make them a schedule and plan activities such as reading, board games, educational games, or favorite television shows and movies.

Also, if your kids are old enough to know how to work a computer or tablet, you can pre-plan virtual play dates with their friends.

Equipment You’ll Need

You’re going to need to have some type of private work area with a computer, either a desktop or a laptop, and high-speed internet service.

If you’re going to work a phone job, you’ll need to have a noise-canceling headset.
