Overview of the Customer Service Role

As a Customer Service Representative with CVS Health, you must be able to effectively handle complaints while maintaining the department’s service level goals.

You should be able to consistently demonstrate behaviors that contribute to the department’s achievements. 

CSRs must work collaboratively with internal and external business partners in order to provide solutions and bring any issues to closure during initial contact with participants.

Responsibilities

A few of the duties of the Customer Service Representative include but aren’t limited to the following:

  • Answer customers’ inquiries in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Engage, consult, and educate each customer based on their unique needs and preferences.
  • Collaborate with co-workers to deliver an outstanding customer experience.
  • Understand customers’ circumstances, problems, expectations, and needs.
  • Document and track contacts with customers, providers, and plan sponsors.
  • Resolve customer issues.
  • Explain member rights and responsibilities per their contract.
  • Process member claims referrals.
  • Assist in gathering claim data for customer audits. 

Education and Qualifications Needed

You must meet the following requirements to be considered for a customer service position with this company.

  • Have previous customer service experience.
